I have attached a picture of the Ludington Gander Mountain Tournament that we won (left), at the time it was the largest salmon tournament on Lake Michigan with over 200 boats competing in the professional and armature divisions. Captain Hook Charters has also won the salmon splash tournament in Manistee 3 times, placed in the top 5 in the "Big Boys tournement in Manistee several times, we have also won tournements in: Recine wisconsin, st. Joseph mi, and Michigan City Indiana.

Captain Roger Haynor has been fishing the waters of Lake Michigan for over 40 years. His passion for boating and fishing Lake Michigan has led to his desire to provide a charter fishing service for everyone interested in an opportunity to join in the pleasures that my family, friends, and I have experienced on Lake Michigan. A USCG Master Mariner licensed to operate up to 50 ton vessel. Most of his experience has come on the waters of Lake Michigan from South Haven to Leland. Roger is the owner / operator of the 36 foot Hatteras "Evolution" docked at Grand Isle Marina out of the port of Grand Haven, MI.

The "Evolution" is a 36 foot Hatteras Convertible

Hatteras yachts are one of the best quality, most dependable, and most seaworthy boats on Lake Michigan. This 36 foot convertible is fully equipped with the latest in technology and electronics available including two fish / depth finders, two marine FM radios, GPS, radar, 4 downriggers and 20 fishing rods. She has three station helms including fly bridge, salon, and cockpit. She is powered with twin 454 ci / 330 hp motors.

The "Evolution" has a large cockpit area for fishing or socializing, fly bridge that seats five, a full size comfortable salon, a stand up head with shower, and a full galley including fridge, freezer, three burner stove with oven and hot and cold water. Also for your comfort she has twin heating and air conditioner units. She will accommodate up to 10 passengers.
